BAHRAIN TO ALLOW ENTRY TO RESIDENTS FROM NEIGHBORING GULF COUNTRIES

In the wake of easing restrictions that were put in place to stop the spread of Corona Virus disease. The Bahrain airport authorities have made a new announcement. Starting September 4th, 2020, Bahraini citizens, residents, GCC nationals and citizens, and those eligible for visas on arrival are now allowed to enter the Kingdom.

SAUDI ARABIA WILL BAN FOREIGN NATIONALS FROM WORKING IN 177 PROFESSIONS

Saudi Arabia has announced that effective January 2021, expat workers will be banned from working in 117 professions across the engineering sector. The Saudi Council of Engineers has confirmed that foreign engineers with less than five years of experience will no longer be recruited.

SAUDI ARABIA SETS UP MINISTERIAL COMMITTEE TO TACKLE COMMERCIAL FRAUD

Saudi citizens will also be asked to report suspected fraud through the Ministry of Commerce and Investment via an online portal. The order also stipulated that a number of ministries and authorities, including the ministries of commerce, human resources and social development, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the General Authority for Zakat and Income, and others will coordinate to issue business licenses and manpower visas.
